4 Week Gentle Yoga Series with Mel

This series is offered for anyone new to yoga or those who are interested in a gentle practice. No experience or flexibility is required. Each class offers soft modifications to traditional basic yoga poses in a slow, low-impact way incorporating simple stretches and flowing sequences, basic breathing exercises, and supported restful postures. The tone of the class is quiet, meditative, and somewhat restorative with the aim of the 4-week series to help foster skills in shifting from “fight or flight” modes toward “rest and digest modes,” reducing stress and tension, increasing heart rate variability, and enhancing your ability to relax and heal. These classes may be particularly helpful for people who are constantly on-the go, experience difficulty winding down, whose bodies feel tight and restless, who are managing or recovering from an injury or chronic condition, and/or who need a change of pace from the usual demands of everyday life.
Class size is limited, virtual option also available. Props are encouraged and available for borrow and you are welcome to bring your own.
