Join is on this weekend-long lyra hoop teacher training with Brenna Bradbury, a seasoned aerialist and performer based in NYC!
Within this 24-hour lyra teacher training, our mission is to effectively guide aerial circus practitioners on their journey to becoming safe and confident instructors. With safety being our number one priority, we will provide the tools for future instructors to be able to create a successful beginning-advanced beginning leveled lyra class. By way of individual and personalized mentoring, we hope to help trainees develop their own personal teaching style in order to create a well-structured class.
Prerequisites

In addition to having at least one year of lyra practice and/or teaching other aerial modalities, trainees must submit a video of the following skills in ordered to be considered for their teacher training:

  1. Clean trapeze mount on the bottom and top bar of the lyra
  2. Clean pullover mount on the bottom and top bar of the lyra
  3. 3 unassisted pull ups or 8 assisted pull ups (using the ground for support)
  4. Hold a regular or forearm plank for 60 seconds.
  5. Hold a front balance on the bottom bar of the lyra for 10 seconds
  6. Hold a back balance on the bottom bar of the lyra for 10 seconds
